Joining the Carondelet Park Rec Complex
IT'S BETTER TOGETHER!
Just like our favorite pairings, workouts go better TOGETHER with someone you know! Refer family or friends to join the Y and you both get a month of membership FREE. Plus, it’s more fun and you keep each other motivated! And, don’t stop with just one referral – the more people you refer, the more you save --
up to SIX MONTHS FREE!
Here’s how it works:
1. As a current Y member, you invite a friend to join by giving him or her a referral form.
2. Your friend brings the referral form when he or she joins.
3. If your friend joins, both of you receives a free month of membership! (See full rules here.)
At the Y, you’re a member of something special: the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Don’t forget: It’s Better Together – Share the Y!
Membership Has Its Advantages
Because the Y is for everyone, we bring together parents and kids like no other organization. From family camps to game nights, the Y provides endless opportunities for families to spend quality time together.
With the Y, you’re not just a member of a facility, you’re part of a cause. With a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, improving health and well-being, and giving back and supporting our neighbors, your membership gives you and your community the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive
When you join the Rec Complex you belong to a place where:
- Parents find a safe, positive environment for children to learn good values, social skills and behaviors.
- Families come together to have fun and spend quality time with each other.
- Children and teens play, learn who they are and what they can achieve, and are accepted with open arms.
- Adults connect with friends, pursue interests and learn how to live healthier.
- Communities thrive because neighbors support each other and give back.
- We all build relationships that further our sense of belonging and purpose.
Belonging to the Carondelet Park Rec Complex
Belonging to the Carondelet Park Rec Complex will strengthen much more than your body. As you build relationships, exercise and relieve stress, your spirit will soar! The time you spend at the Carondelet Park Rec Complex with your family will create bonds to last a lifetime. And when you volunteer your time at the Rec Complex, the entire community benefits.
For more than 150 years the YMCA of Greater St. Louis has been a place to be together as a family. The Y has served the community with values-based programs and events that build healthy spirits, minds and bodies for all. Our history has taught us that the Y will always be relevant, as long as we adapt to serve the ever-changing needs of our members.
As we build a stronger, healthier community, the Y relies on the generosity of friends like you. Support the Strong Community Campaign to empower your neighbors, friends and fellow members.

Welcome to the Rec Complex! You will soon discover that the Rec Complex, which is operated by the YMCA, is more than just a place to work out; more than a place where families can spend quality time together; more than a place to learn to swim; more than a place for kids to play team sports; more than a place for seniors to stay young at heart.
The Rec Complex is all those things and much more. It is a place where you belong! It is a safe haven where you and your family may come and interact and feel secure. We want you to get involved in programs and activities that interest you. We are committed to doing everything we can to help you get started and stay committed to your health.
When you’re ready to get started on your health journey, a friendly face at the Rec Complex or other branches of the YMCA will be waiting to help you. As a first step, plan to meet with our fitness center staff to review your overall wellness and exercise needs. You’ll also learn safe operation of all fitness equipment and all YMCA procedures.
While programs and classes are ever-changing at the Rec Complex, what doesn't change are the people. What every YMCA has in common is a dedicated group of people: volunteers, staff, members and donors—all of whom are committed to our mission. It is the people of the Rec Complex who build strong kids, strong families and strong communities—and you can be part of that team!
