Diabetes Busters Mobile Unit providing screenings at select YMCAs

More than 23 million Americans have diabetes--including 5 million (nearly one-quarter) who don't even know it.

The Christian Hospital Diabetes Busters Mobile Unit has partnered with the YMCA of Greater St. Louis to offer free screenings and education about diabetes.

The mobile unit provides visitors with a free way to check blood sugar and speak with a health professional. The unit is equipped with screening stations, TV screens for patient education videos, healthcare professionals to provide screenings and information as needed and information handouts about pre-diabetes and diabetes.

The Diabetes Busters Mobile Unit will be visiting the following YMCAs on the following dates. Free screenings are usually done between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. This is a free service funded by Christian Northeast Hospital and no appointment is necessary.
