For Edward Jones Family YMCA full members and metro members, classes are included with your membership on a drop-in basis and no registration is needed. However, you will be required to sign up for classes at the front desk. Specialty classes have a fee, members always pay the lowest rate, and registration is required. Schedules are subject to change. Instructors may cancel a class if there are not enough participants, please check each class minimum required participants. Free classes will not be made up if cancelled.

Water Fitness Personal Training Program
This new water fitness program is designed for those who enjoy the benefits of water exercise, but may not be able to attend our water fitness classes on a regular basis or for those who want to focus on more specific fitness goals. You will meet one-on-one with a certified water fitness instructor who will create a special program based on your personal needs. You and your water fitness personal trainer may choose work on endurance, toning, strength training, flexibility, range of motion, weight lose, specific injury rehab, pre or post-operation needs, or a variety. *Your instructor is not a trained physical therapist, so this program in no way can be substituted for physical therapy that is ordered by your doctor. For more information, please contact Patty in the Aquatics Department at 314-439-8007, ext. 247. You will meet six or twelve times during the Winter Session, for 30 minutes each class. Days & times to be arranged between you & your trainer.

Healthy Joints
This new water fitness class is designed to give an overall, low impact exercise to those with any type of joint concerns. If you have tried the Arthritis water class in the past, but wanted more of a workout, then this class is for you! The instructor is trained to work with people of all abilities and joint concerns. All exercises will be taught, including cardio, toning, strength, etc. Variations for each exercise will be given, so that you can increase or decrease activity depending on your needs. A variety of water fitness equipment will be used throughout each class. (min 3/max 25)

Aquacise
A mild cardio-vascular workout using the properties of water and held in a shallow depth. Combines a light aerobic workout with muscle strengthening and flexibility. (5 min./25 max.)

Aqua Variety

Arthritis Foundation/YMCA Water Program
The arthritis Foundation/YMCA Water exercise program is open to anyone with arthritis or joint problems. Participants perform a series or specially designed exercises to joint range-of-motion, strengthen muscles and build endurance. (min. 5)
