Financial Assistance

The Y offers programs, services and initiatives focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, according to the unique needs of the communities it engages.

The Y is about changing lives for the better. Through 17 fitness locations in St. Louis City and County, St. Charles, Jefferson, Warren, Lincoln and Franklin counties, Camp Lakewood and Trout Lodge in Washington County, and more than 400 program sites, the YMCA serves more than 700,000 participants with programs that build healthy spirits, minds and bodies. YMCA programs are available to all people. The Y gave $4.37 million back to our communities in direct and indirect financial assistance in 2012, including $1.4 million in membership assistance to 3,905 member households.

The Y is accessible to all people. Financial assistance is offered to individuals and families who cannot afford membership.  Financial scholarships are available at all branches thanks to the generous support of those who give to our annual YMCA Strong Community Campaign.  Applications for assistance are also available at any branch service center.
