Katy’s story
Katy, 28, wants to tell you what the Partner Campaign means to her family:

“This has been a difficult year for our family. Thanks to our YMCA scholarship my family now has a chance to get involved in many quality activities. Our daughter Mikayla, 5, takes dance classes and gym and swim, while our daughter Brittany, 11, is going to start youth sports this year and loves the “hub,” especially rock climbing. My husband, Mike, and I are starting to work out in the Fitness Center, so we can stay healthy.”

“Mike’s a roofer and I’m a full-time student, so we are very grateful that our daughters will have the opportunity to go to YMCA camp this summer. It gives us one less thing to worry about, knowing that our girls will have a happy, memorable summer in a safe environment with people who really care about them.”

“If it wasn’t for the Partner program, there is no way we could afford to participate at this time in our lives. I hope, in the future, that we will be able to give something back to the YMCA for helping us when we needed it the most.”

Everyone’s a Y kid, from the active older adults in aquatics class, to the youngest member of Mommy & Me gymnastics. And they all find what they need at the YMCA—a place to belong, friends who care, the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe environment.

The YMCA mission is at the heart of all of our programs: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirits, minds and bodies for all. We can only live up to our mission, and truly serve all who need us, with the help of committed and generous donors like you who give to the YMCA Partner Campaign. Your help ensures that no one, of any age, race, gender or ability, will ever be turned away from a YMCA program because they can’t afford it. Your help ensures that every kid can be a Y kid.
