YMCA Kicks Off Community Phase of Capital Campaign

The Jefferson County Family YMCA kicked off the community phase of its Capital Campaign, Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Four of the major donors: Eagle Bank, Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Dow Chemical and Darin & Lisa Basler presented checks to YMCA Board of Advisor's president, David Wright.
Ann Moloney, member at the YMCA, told how much the YMCA has meant to her family and how important the YMCA is in the community.
Matt Clark, Executive Director of the YMCA, revealed the floor plan of the 1st phase of the project, which will be completion of the basement below the fitness center. Two more phases are still planned and will be put into action when the $1,300,000 goal is reached.
Refreshments along with tours of the facility were offered after the kickoff ceremony. The event was covered by KTJJ radio and Leader Publications of Festus.
