Synchronized Swimming Lessons

Have you ever wanted to dance in the water? Then come try our Synchronized Swimming lessons!

Coaches will focus on basic movements, development of routines & conditioning swim practices. Participants must be comfortable in the deep water, submerging activities, and swim at Guppy level or better. Swim caps required and nose plugs will be provided.

Mid-County Family YMCA Becomes an Official Safe Place for Local Kids

Communities all share a concern about the safety and welfare of their youth and search for ways to keep their young people safe. Project Safe Place is a program designed to provide access to immediate help and safety to young people at risk of abuse, neglect or serious family problems. It is a cost-effective program offering youth and their families access to counseling and effective resolution to their conflicts before their situation escalates beyond their control. Businesses, community buildings and buses are designated as Safe Place sites and prominently display a distinctive yellow and black Safe Place logo. Any youth can walk into a Safe Place and let an employee know that they need help. They are quickly connected with a youth serving agency that can provide the help they need.

That's Right! It’s time for our furry, four-legged friends to experience the fun of an Easter egg hunt. The Mid-County Family YMCA and the APA of Missouri are hosting their First Annual Dog Easter Egg Hunt to benefit youth programs at the Mid-County Family YMCA and the homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens at the APA.

Where: At the Park across the street from the Y.

When: Saturday, March 27, 2010 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Registration begins at 12:15.

Cost: $10 per dog

We will have two separate hunts depending on the size of your dog.

All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Bring a basket to collect your eggs and be prepared to clean up after your dog. Each participant will receive treats and prizes in addition to the eggs they collect.

Welcome to the Mid-County Family YMCA School Age Child Care (SACC) Program. You have joined thousands of families in the St. Louis area and surrounding communities that participate in the SACC program.

All of our SACC sites are licensed by the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS) Bureau of Child Care and are visited two times per year to make sure the program remains in compliance with DHSS regulations.

Your child(ren) will be provided a safe and engaging program that includes enhancement activities that are self-directed and rewarding. The YMCA believes children of all abilities need to have opportunities to develop and explore their individual skills and interest through a balance of developmentally appropriate, fun activities.
