Caitlyn's story Caitlyn will be a sophomore in high school this year. The Carondelet Family YMCA has been an integral part of her life and she is eager to tell others how much the YMCA has changed her life. With the help of financial assistance, she attended Central Leader’s School. This one-week YMCA program teaches youth and teens leadership skills for life. Caitlyn helped to found the Carondelet YMCA Leader’s Club and has served as President. Caitlyn has far exceeded the volunteer service expectation by teaching preschool dance and assisting in Child Watch, our on-site, while-you-work-out, baby-sitting service. She also spent an entire summer as a Counselor in Training for YMCA Day Camp. Caitlyn has planned and led other teens in service- learning and civic engagement projects, including helping to design the South City Skate Park. Not only has she given to the YMCA, the YMCA continues to give back to her. She has made service-learning trips to Trinidad and Belize over the past two years.

Belonging to the YMCA will strengthen much more than your body. As you build relationships and relieve stress, your spirit will soar. The time you spend at the Y with your family will create bonds to last a lifetime. And when you volunteer your time at the YMCA, the whole community benefits.

Cara has worked at the Four Rivers Area Family YMCA for a year and a half. She has enjoyed the YMCA as a member since 1998.
In her time at the Y, Cara has seen the addition of many great programs... but none as exciting as YPF! It is a great program for people who have struggled with consistency in their exercise program. For Cara it means the chance to meet new members and help them make a positive change in their lives. She is looking forward to meeting you!

Held primarily outdoors at the YMCA, campers get to do games, crafts and adventures with both active and quiet play all designed around weekly themes. We beat the heat with water activities and pool time. Plus, we take exciting field trips! Campers bring a snack, water, lunch and drink, and sunscreen each day.
