History
The South County Family YMCA was created in 1962 to answer the community’s need for a wholesome, healthy place for youth to meet. A committee of South County residents rented facilities, raised money to make a down payment on the land the YMCA currently occupies and directed many of the programs themselves. In 1982, the current facility was constructed on 12 acres of land.

The branch also owns Circle Y Ranch, a beautiful, rustic 60-acre day camp down Highway 21 near Imperial, MO.
